As San Francisco’s hot spot for café fare and
international literature,
Café de la Presse has been a gathering place for
the age-old tradition of enjoying conversation, politics,
style,
and cuisine since 1992. In the fall of 2005, this eclectic
place
came under new management when Charles Condy,
Laurent Manrique and Jean-Claude Persais were inspired by their
shared
passion for
food and fashion to take on the project.
What enticed a seafood restaurant to add steak frites to its
repertoire? A chance to serve traditional, high-quality
bistro dishes while convening diverse cultures proved an
irresistible opportunity. The subsequent renovation and
revitalized menu produced a true Parisian-inspired café
that flaunts a new level of panache and keeps its customers
a la mode with a vast selection of journalism from all over
the world. Café de la Presse, an exemplary display
of old-world
classicism meeting modern taste, is one of Union Square’s
most
popular dining and entertainment venues.
Café de la Presse is now hiring!
